On monday, the class was divided into groups and we began to work on the case study, which would become our final project. The good part was that we had time to express our concerns regarding the schedule and assigments (and that Prof. Ryan made adjustments taking in account our concerns). It showed that he really cared about the class and our learning. In terms of my case study: our church have recently began a church planting project in Walnut, CA (our church is in Long Beach) and I am the team leader for the project. Honestly I have no idea or experience in church planting. We are at the beginning stage of forming the team and thinking of the directions for the church. This is actually one of the reason why I took the class. I wanted to hear a fresh prospectives on church and missions from the emerging church movement. I pray that God will use this class to show me his heart and his direction for the church.
